How do I raise money for my favorite charity or school with CausePort.com?
Every time you click over to one of our shopping Partner sites from the CausePort.com site and then make a purchase, your Cause earns money. The more you shop, the more they make! Add up the money generated from all of your shopping and the shopping done by all of the other people who use CausePort.com, and we can make a real difference for many worthy Causes.
75% of the payout amount percentage displayed next to each Partners link page on CausePort.com "Shopping" goes to your designated Cause.
How does it work?
Simply go to www.causeport.com and register. Once you have registered and confirmed your email address by clicking the link in your welcome email this will take you back to CausePort.com and will place you on the "Dashboard" page and you will be logged into CausePort.com. Click the "Find a Cause" tab at the top of the page and search for the Cause of your choice by simply typing the EIN (employer identification number) or organization name, city and abbreviated state into the search box and click Find My Cause. Once you find your Cause click on the plus sign next to it and the Cause will then be associated with your user ID so that when you shop and complete a purchase we know where to send the commission. To shop, simply click on the "Shopping" tab at the top of the page. Browse the catgories using the left navigation bar and find the store where you want to shop. When you click on the store you will be directed to a page that asks you to confirm which Cause is getting paid for that specific shopping trip. You can have multiple Causes to support through CausePort.com.
Next, click through to our Partners site and start shopping! A percentage of your purchase will go to your favorite Cause.
Where does the money come from?
When you shop through CausePort.com at one of our retail Partners, CausePort.com is paid a commission. CausePort.com tracks these shopping-generated proceeds so that we can direct them to Causes.
Am I paying more to shop through CausePort.com? Is this any different than buying directly from the retailer?
NO! The experience of shopping through CausePort.com is exactly the same as going to the retailer directly – you receive the same prices and level of service. The retailers are responsible for collecting payment, shipping and returns.
Is shopping through CausePort.com secure?
YES! CausePort.com does not collect any credit card or personal information such as your name or address (name, email address and zip code are collected during the registration process to provide service). The entire shopping transaction is done directly through the merchants just as if you had gone to their store directly.
Is there a delay between when I make a purchase and when it shows up as a commission?
We receive commission data (not payment) from our retailers daily so you may contact us with a question regarding a specific commission please email us with as much detail as possible service@causeport.com Please note however that our retailers may take up to eight weeks to report their sales back to us from the time of your purchase. Also, commissions will be deducted from the organizations total due to returned merchandise or cancelled orders.
Do all purchases qualify for a commission?
While the majority of all purchases will generate a commission for your Cause, each retailer has its own rules and some purchases may not qualify. For example, many merchants do not pay commissions for gift cards or gift certificates.

What types of organizations are eligible to participate?
To participate in our program, your organization must be a registered nonprofit with the IRS. This can include schools, charities, hospitals and clinics, volunteer services, political organizations, fraternal organizations, professional associations, churches, religious organizations, governmental agencies, etc. There are more than 1.5 million Causes in our database.
Does CausePort.com work with Causes outside of the United States?
No. We currently only work with recognized U.S. nonprofits.

When will my Cause receive a check?
We will send each organization a check once the Cause account has a minimum amount of $100.00. The minimum check sent is $100. If the organization has earned less than $100, the funds will be sent to that organization in December of the given year in which the commissions were generated.
The more often an organization's supporters use CausePort.com, the more money that organization will receive.
How do I change my organization's contact information?
